About The Position

The Demo Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing and controlling the flow of demo products in and out of inventory. These products are used by sales representatives, internal showrooms, external showrooms, and other authorized users to demonstrate products to customers. This role requires strong attention to detail, inventory control discipline, warehouse experience, and the ability to manage serialized products through the Demo/Rental software and WMS system. The Demo Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for issuing, receiving, inspecting, basic functional testing, tracking, replenishing, cycle-counting, organizing, packing, and shipping demo inventory. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, communicate effectively with multiple departments, prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment, perform basic technical checks on electronic equipment, and ensure all demo inventory transactions are accurate and properly documented.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2–3 years of experience and/or training in: Warehouse operations, Inventory control, Shipping and receiving or related fields
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot inventory issues and resolve discrepancies.
  • Basic technical aptitude to test electronic equipment and determine functionality.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift and/or cherry picker certification.
  • Experience handling serialized inventory.
  • Experience with demo, rental, loaner, or consignment inventory.
  • Experience performing product inspections or troubleshooting electronic equipment.
  • Experience working with Sales, Customer Service, Repair, or Accounts Receivable teams.
  • Warehouse lead or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Issue demo products to sales representatives, dealers, showrooms, and approved users.
  • Process transactions through inventory and warehouse management systems.
  • Track serialized inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure all required accessories, components, and packaging accompany demo products.
  • Monitor long-term demo placements and follow up as needed.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
  • Conduct cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and accurate demo inventory area.
  • Receive and inspect returned demo products.
  • Verify serial numbers and transaction history.
  • Perform basic functional testing on electronic equipment.
  • Identify damaged, incomplete, or non-functional products.
  • Document test results and inspection findings.
  • Coordinate repairs when required.
  • Work with Customer Service and Accounts Receivable regarding product condition and account actions.
  • Pack and ship demo products according to company standards.
  • Process inventory movements using warehouse systems.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and cherry pickers.
  • Support warehouse organization and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Follow all safety procedures and inventory control standards.
