About The Position
The Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel is looking for an energetic manager-in-training to rock the Demi Chef position and become a culinary superstar! This position is permanent full time hourly position and pays $21.75 per hour and includes gratuities. As the Demi Chef, you'll be responsible for whipping up scrumptious dishes of all types, whether it's a regular day in the kitchen or a special event for our VIP guests. You'll also need to make sure everything runs smoothly when the Sous Chef is away. You'll be the captain of the ship when it comes to food handling and sanitation, making sure all our kitchen practices are up to par with local and provincial regulations. You'll also be in charge of obtaining feedback and empowering your team to provide the best customer service possible.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in culinary
- Ability to manage and train kitchen staff with a sense of humor and a light touch
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
