About The Position

Trinity Glen, a Lutheran Services Carolinas community in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a dedicated Dementia Care Director. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to lead a dementia care program within a senior living environment committed to compassion, dignity, and person-centered care. The Dementia Care Director will oversee all aspects of Trinity Glen’s Dementia Care Program, ensuring residents receive high-quality care that supports their physical, emotional, and social well-being, while also providing guidance and support to their families.

Requirements

• Degree in a mental health or social services field
• At least three years of experience in a senior living setting
• Dementia care expertise is required
• Strong knowledge of dementia care
• Flexibility
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Sound judgment
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to relate well to residents

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Dementia Care Program, including activities and compliance with applicable state regulations.
• Oversee dementia care education and training for staff.
• Serve as a key resource and support contact for residents and their families.
• Stay current with best practices and standards in dementia-specific care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
