About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Demand Planning Intern to join our Materials Management team. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting demand forecasting, inventory planning, data analysis, and cross-functional business processes that help ensure products are available to meet customer needs. The Demand Planning Intern will work closely with supply chain, sales, marketing, product management, and operations teams to analyze historical demand trends, monitor inventory performance, and assist with forecasting activities. This role offers valuable exposure to supply chain planning processes and the data-driven decision-making that supports business growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and business inputs.
  • Analyze sales, inventory, and customer demand data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support monthly and weekly demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate forecast performance and planning metrics.
  • Monitor inventory levels and help identify potential stock shortages, excess inventory, or demand fluctuations.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product management, and operations teams to gather information that impacts demand forecasts.
  • Assist with forecast accuracy tracking and root-cause analysis of forecast variances.
  • Support data cleansing, master data maintenance, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
