About The Position

Tingley is seeking a Demand Planner to support the Sales and Operations Planning Process. This role will be responsible for forecasting, purchasing, and managing excess inventory for Apparel and Footwear across multiple brands and warehouse locations. Key responsibilities include producing backorder and excess inventory reports, collaborating with Product Management on new product launches and inventory actions, managing intra-company transfers, maintaining inbound container reports, and ensuring the integrity of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data. The SIOP Department aims for continuous improvement in Customer Fill Rates, On Time/In Full Customer Orders, Customer Backorders, Inventory Turns, and Working Capital as a % of Sales. This position requires the candidate to be on-site at the Piscataway, NJ office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in supply chain or business administration.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in demand planning or supply chain, or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of a Demand Planning software.
  • Experience with SAP (ERP) preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive self-starter who takes initiative and works with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to manage stakeholders as well as drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, prioritize, identify problems and seek solutions.

  • Experience with MS Dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Build SKU forecasts in NetStock and add Sales Opportunities from MS Dynamics.
  • Analyze abnormal forecast/history and partner with Sales & Product teams to refine forecasts.
  • Improve forecast accuracy through proposed solutions.
  • Lead monthly Canada SIOP meetings and adjust models as needed.
  • Create and monitor Purchase Orders in SAP.
  • Reconcile inventory and maintain target levels for Canada FC (IN92).
  • Communicate regularly with Canada Sales, Product, and Customer Service teams on trends and opportunities.
  • Build SKU forecasts in NetStock and add Sales Opportunities from MS Dynamics for West Coast FC (US11 – Reno, NV).
  • Analyze abnormal trends and collaborate with Sales/Product teams for West Coast FC.
  • Recommend improvements to forecasting accuracy for West Coast FC.
  • Participate in monthly US SIOP meetings and adjust forecasting as required.
  • Create and monitor Purchase Orders in SAP for West Coast FC.
  • Reconcile inventory and maintain target levels for West Coast FC.
  • Communicate with US Sales, Product, and Customer Service on trends and account changes for West Coast FC.
  • Review OOCL MyPodium daily for shipment updates and adjust ERP and flag risks.
  • Enter shipment/container details into ERP and update milestones.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders on priority shipments.
  • Prepare and distribute Customer Backorder (CBO) and excess inventory reports.
  • Support Product Management with new launches, product lifecycle updates, and excess inventory actions.
