About The Position

Delivery Truck Drivers deliver and/or remove waste or recycling carts and bins to customers and vendors. They safely operate vehicles, comply with applicable regulations and company policies, and provide courteous customer service. The role may also involve operating other types of trucks and assisting with other projects or duties as needed. This position does not manage employees.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand a map or GPS.
Excellent truck driving and maneuvering skills.
General knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
Ability to use small power tools for basic container repairs.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain one before hire.
Must be at least 19 years of age.
No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
Must not have any DUI or OVI convictions within the last 5 years, or 2 within the last 10 years.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Must have a valid driver's license, if applicable.
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
Must be able to read and speak English.
Ability to travel between offices as required.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.

Nice To Haves

Waste industry experience.
1–2 years of previous experience driving a large company van or truck.

Responsibilities

Operate a truck and perform job duties safely in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
Deliver waste and recycling carts and bins to customers and vendors.
Complete documentation for deliveries and removals.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
Maintain and update work orders.
Interact professionally with coworkers and internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
Assist with other projects or areas as needed.
Operate other types of trucks as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
