About The Position

The Delivery Truck Driver transports and delivers products needed for Mollie Stone’s Markets stores throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Deliveries consist primarily of wine, spirits, and beer, as well as occasional perishable and non-perishable retail goods, including baked goods, deli products, housewares, and equipment. The driver works independently and unsupervised, follows efficient routes that may change daily based on store needs or season, and is responsible for products while they are loaded, transported, and delivered. The driver also inspects and maintains the truck, schedules repairs, and keeps delivery records.

Requirements

Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.
At least 3 years of professional driving experience.
At least 2 years of general retail work experience.
High school diploma or equivalent studies.
Ability to operate a mechanical liftgate and hand truck.
Knowledge of and comfort driving around the San Francisco Bay Area.
Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to see, hear, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

Transport and deliver wine, spirits, and beer 90%–100% of the time.
Transport and deliver other retail goods up to 10% of the time.
Assist with safely loading pallets, cases, boxes, and equipment.
Secure each load safely with breaker bars.
Keep the Breakage Log up to date.
Coordinate with Receiving clerks, Department Managers, Store Managers, and other Operational Managers to ensure pickups and deliveries are accurate and timely.
Verify deliveries and check products in with the Receiver or Department Manager.
Maintain responsibility for products during loading, transportation, and delivery.
Inspect the vehicle for safety and maintenance issues and report any issues to the Store Manager.
Maintain and schedule repairs for the truck, and maintain delivery records.
