About The Position

AVI Foodsystems is looking for a friendly and hard-working team member to immediately hire to fill the role of Delivery Route Driver. This is a full-time position earning $21.00 per hour. This position works out of our Newburgh, NY location with a Monday - Friday 7am schedule. One to two days a week will require out of state deliveries but you will return home every day. May have an occasional Saturday when needed.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently

Responsibilities

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck
• Deliver products and food to vending attendants at client locations
• Collect products and paperwork from vending attendants at client locations
• Discard unsold and stale merchandise
• Communicate positively with fellow team members and customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Manage the care of the company vehicle
