About The Position

The Delivery Manager coordinates and monitors software development across multiple technology platforms and disciplines. This highly visible, senior role leads the delivery of client initiatives, with responsibility for relationship management, project management, and business and technical delivery. The manager is accountable for successful, on-time, and on-budget project delivery, including coordinating functional and technical work, managing risks and deliverables, and maintaining client and vendor relationships. The role may also contribute to other project work as needed and perform other job-related duties.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of project management experience and 2–3 years delivering software-based projects.
• Four-year related college degree.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Previous experience delivering software-based development projects, including consulting or product experience.
• Experience managing and executing multiple development projects, particularly as a lead on systems development, with working knowledge of the applications development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including one or more of the listed examples: developing and implementing technologies or work processes; managing multiple or large projects; strategic thinking and relationship management; leading multidisciplinary, high-performance teams; solving complex business problems; developing applications with new technologies; or managing joint IT/business teams through lifecycle phases.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
• Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects in an organized, timely manner.
• Ability to problem-solve, work under pressure, manage stress, and work overtime if needed.
• Proactive, collaborative, innovative approach and a personable, professional image.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience implementing Oracle Retail or Micros XStore products.
• Experience with a resource management tool such as Kantata.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor software development across multiple technology platforms and disciplines.
• Lead client initiatives and oversee project management, relationship management, and business and technical delivery.
• Deliver projects successfully, on time, and within budget, coordinating all functional and technical work efforts.
• Motivate teams, drive execution, and guide staff in meeting project plan tasks and timelines.
• Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, action items, and deliverable status; escalate risks as needed.
• Ensure contracts and statements of work are current and fully executed.
• Identify new client opportunities and drive the process for additional work.
• Serve as the primary contact for client stakeholders on all project matters.
• Prepare and communicate weekly and monthly status reports to clients.
• Maintain working relationships and partnerships with current and prospective vendors.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients for future BTM projects.
• Follow BTM methodologies and procedures.
• Contribute to other project work efforts as needed and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
