Job Purpose The Delivery & Installation Technician supports operational and customer experience objectives by ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery, assembly, and installation of mobility equipment. This role contributes to improved customer safety, independence, and satisfaction by delivering high-quality installation services and ensuring equipment is fully functional at the point of use. The position is structured as a task-based, field services engagement aligned to business demand and service needs.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues
  • Strong time management and dependability in a field-based work environment
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned service tasks
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical or technical experience (professional or personal)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment typically ranging from 50–100 lbs, with assistance as needed
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and movement during installation activities
  • Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions
  • Regular use of hand tools, power tools, and transportation equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with mobility or medical equipment
  • Basic electrical or carpentry knowledge
  • Experience interacting directly with customers in service-based roles
  • 1–3 years of delivery, installation, construction, or assembly experience
  • High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Deliver mobility and medical equipment to residential and commercial locations in a safe and timely manner
  • Assemble and install equipment including lift chairs, wheelchairs, scooters, ramps, and stair lifts according to manufacturer and company standards
  • Verify proper functionality and safety of all equipment at the time of installation
  • Provide basic operational instruction to customers to ensure proper use and safety
  • Load, transport, and unload equipment using safe handling practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues encountered during delivery or installation
  • Maintain professional communication and customer service standards during all service interactions
  • Represent the company in a professional manner while on-site and in the field
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, vehicles, and work areas
  • Support basic coordination of delivery schedules and service needs as mutually agreed upon
  • Performs other mutually agreed upon duties consistent with the applicable engagement or contract
