About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, including bringing orders to the customer's door and distributing flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general store team-member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing telephone orders, completing inventory and related paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including management roles.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read maps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate delivery sites, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Must be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers by phone and in person.
Must perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
Must have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Must have sufficient motor coordination to make rapid, accurate movements and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
Must be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Must be able to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving; product cases may weigh up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work around varying weather, changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Must have the sensory abilities described, including talking and hearing by telephone, near-, mid-, far- and night vision, depth perception, and distinguishing hot from cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car within the designated delivery area and to customers' doors.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment.
Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products.
Receive and process telephone orders, including entering orders by keyboard or touchscreen.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and stock supplies on shelves.
