About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers pizza and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, including carrying orders from the vehicle to the customer’s door. The role also includes delivering flyers and door hangers and completing general store team-member duties, such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including management roles.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses in the designated delivery area.
• Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and other delivery sites.
• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make rapid, accurate movements with the eyes, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving.
• Ability to carry deliveries while walking and climbing, potentially including five or more flights of stairs.
• Ability to work around varying temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to communicate and hear by telephone, and to use near-, mid-range, depth, far, and night vision as described for store work and driving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car within the designated delivery area and carry them to customers’ doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Navigate to delivery addresses, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
