About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products to customers within a designated delivery area and performs general store team-member duties. These include operating equipment; stocking ingredients; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing related paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role requires navigating delivery locations, including private homes and multi-story buildings, and may include delivering flyers and door hangers. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Flexible scheduling is offered, and advancement opportunities may include management or franchise ownership.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
Have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Be able to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Have the motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with speed and accuracy.
Be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Be able to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving.
Be able to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area, including carrying products from the vehicle to the customer's door.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Navigate to addresses using maps and handle delivery routes that may include adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
