About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers pizzas and other products to customers within a designated delivery area, by car and from the vehicle to the customer’s door. The role also includes delivering flyers and door hangers and performing general store-team duties, such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The position requires customer-service and communication skills, accurate order entry and money handling, basic arithmetic, and the ability to use maps and locate addresses. Team members work in varied store and outdoor conditions and may encounter temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, reaching, bending, occasional crouching, and navigating stairs or other delivery terrain.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Ability to read maps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and over the phone.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with the eyes, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, reaching, bending, and navigating stairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Deliver products by car within a designated delivery area and carry them to customers’ doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Navigate delivery locations, including multi-story buildings and stairs.
• Unload and stock bulk product deliveries using a hand truck.
