About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and performs general store team-member duties. The role includes operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Delivery Experts may also deliver flyers and door hangers. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position involves working in a pizza store and traveling between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations, with exposure to hot and cold temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and varying weather conditions. Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies and products, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must be able to read maps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and provide correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to navigate delivery sites, including private homes and multi-story buildings, while carrying products.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical duties described, including lifting cases weighing up to 50 pounds, carrying products, and navigating stairs during deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and bring them to the customer's door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment and prepare products.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage and work areas, including the walk-in cooler.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to shelves and storage areas.
