About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers pizza, sides, and other menu items to customers while representing the store positively and driving safely and courteously. The role also supports in-store operations by taking and processing orders, serving customers, preparing food, keeping the store clean and stocked, and distributing promotional materials. Delivery Experts use their own vehicle and are expected to know the delivery area and follow traffic laws. The role offers training, flexible hours, tips, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for career progression.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and provide proof of liability insurance.
• Have a clean, unrestricted driving record.
• Have a clean, reliable, and safe vehicle.
• Have an exceptional and positive attitude.
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen and comprehend written instructions.
• Be able to communicate verbally with customers and Team Members in person and by phone.
• Have motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with the eyes, hands, and fingers.
• Have the vision needed for in-store tasks and delivery tasks, and be able to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
• Be able to stand, walk, and drive for long periods during scheduled work.
• Be able to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizza, sides, and other menu items to customers.
• Project a positive image and build relationships with customers.
• Drive safely and courteously, obeying traffic laws.
• Know the store’s delivery area and read area maps.
• Take orders by phone and in person.
• Greet customers within 10 seconds.
• Handle cash, make cash drops, reconcile cash, and report tips accurately.
• Help make pizzas, prepare dough, and prepare or restock toppings.
• Help keep the store clean and stocked.
• Deliver leaflets and door hangers as required.
• Use, return, and properly store company-issued equipment at the end of each scheduled shift.
• Unload and move bulk product deliveries and supplies as needed.
