About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Orientation and training are provided on the job. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Ability to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Ability to understand and provide correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, reaching, climbing, and driving; deliveries may involve carrying items and climbing five or more flights of stairs.
Ability to meet the sensory demands of the role, including telephone hearing and speaking, near, mid-range, far, and night vision, depth perception, and distinguishing hot from cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers and carry them to the customer’s door.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete associated paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
Use navigational skills to locate addresses within the designated delivery area and navigate delivery sites, including stairs and multi-story buildings.
Communicate with customers and co-workers to take and process orders, including by telephone and in person.
Unload and stock ingredient and supply deliveries, using a hand truck as needed.
