About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers pizza, sides, and other menu items to customers while presenting a positive image and driving safely and courteously. The role also supports in-store operations by taking and processing orders, preparing food, keeping the store clean and stocked, and delivering leaflets and door hangers. Team members receive training and support, and the position offers opportunities for career progression. Work may involve adverse weather, temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. The role also involves handling deliveries and supplies, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Hold a valid driver's license and provide proof of liability insurance.
Have a clean, unrestricted driving record.
Have a clean, reliable, and safe vehicle.
Have a positive attitude.
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen and comprehend written instructions.
Communicate verbally with customers and team members to process orders by phone and in person.
Have motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Be able to talk and hear on the telephone.
Have near- and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks and mid-range and distant vision for delivery tasks.
Differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Be able to stand, walk, and drive for long periods during scheduled work.
Be able to lift and carry deliveries and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds; tasks also involve bending, continuous reaching, and hand use.

Responsibilities

Deliver pizza, sides, and other menu items to customers.
Project a positive image and build relationships with customers.
Drive safely and courteously, obey traffic laws, and know the store's delivery area.
Read area maps.
Take orders over the phone and in person; greet customers within 10 seconds.
Handle cash, make cash drops, reconcile cash, and report tips accurately.
Contribute to the make line by making pizzas, preparing dough, and preparing or restocking toppings.
Help keep the store clean and stocked.
Deliver leaflets and door hangers as required.
Use, display, return, and properly store issued equipment, including car toppers, hot bags, and jackets.
Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage or shelves.
Perform occasional maintenance and other outside tasks, including changing prices on signs and washing walls.
