About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and performs general store team-member duties. The role may include delivering flyers and door hangers, operating store equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and potential advancement opportunities, including management.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and stairs, while carrying products.
• Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Have motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately, and be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Be able to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
• Be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and carry them to the customer's door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete associated paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
• Use maps and navigational skills to locate addresses and navigate delivery sites, including buildings with stairs.
• Unload and move product deliveries, including carrying and stocking ingredients and supplies.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers in person and over the telephone to process orders.
