About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers pizzas and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment safely, moving and storing ingredients, preparing products to quality and food-safety standards, processing telephone orders, completing inventory documentation, and maintaining clean and sanitary facilities. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. The position requires customer-service and communication skills, accurate order entry and money handling, basic arithmetic, map reading and navigation, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Work takes place in varied in-store conditions, including temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal particulates, confined refrigerated spaces, and hot equipment. Delivery work may involve variable weather, driving, and walking or climbing at customer locations. The role has substantial physical requirements, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying items, pushing or pulling trays, bending, reaching, and occasionally climbing stairs or ladders.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets or exceeds company standards.
Must have access to a fully insured vehicle suitable for delivery operations.
Must be able to interpret maps, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate challenging terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including by telephone.
Must be able to perform basic arithmetic and handle monetary transactions and provide exact change.
Must be able to enter orders using computer keyboards and touch-screen interfaces.
Must have the physical ability to deliver products, including navigating stairs and carrying products.
Must be able to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving.
Must be able to work in variable weather and store conditions, including temperature changes, food-related odors and fumes, cornmeal particulates, confined refrigerated spaces, and around hot surfaces, sharp edges, and mechanical components.
Must have the sensory capabilities described, including near-, mid-, and far-range vision, night vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish hot from cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment precisely and follow safety protocols.
Move ingredients from delivery areas to appropriate storage, work areas, and refrigerated units.
Prepare products according to quality standards and food-safety regulations.
Process telephone orders accurately and professionally.
Assess inventory and complete related documentation.
Clean and sanitize equipment and facilities daily in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Deliver products by car and carry them to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Handle customer and colleague interactions in person and by telephone.
Use maps and navigate to addresses throughout the delivery area.
