About The Position
The Delivery Expert delivers pizzas and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, taking products from the vehicle to the customer's door. The role also includes distributing flyers and door hangers and performing general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the work, including standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving.
- Must be able to carry product while walking and climbing during deliveries; delivery routes may involve five or more flights of stairs.
- Must work around varying weather and temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
- Must have the vision and hearing abilities described for the role, including near, mid-range, far, and night vision, depth perception, and ability to distinguish hot from cold surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and carry them from the vehicle to the customer's location.

- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage.
- Navigate delivery routes, addresses, terrain, and buildings, including stairs and multi-story buildings.
