About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may distribute flyers and door hangers. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and must navigate addresses, private homes, multi-story buildings, and other delivery sites, sometimes carrying products up five or more flights of stairs. The role also includes general store team-member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing orders, completing inventory paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Flexible scheduling is offered, and advancement opportunities may include management and franchise ownership.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers by telephone and in person.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to carry delivery products and perform the listed physical tasks, including walking, climbing, lifting, reaching, and bending.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Navigate to addresses within the delivery area, including multi-story buildings and other delivery sites.
• Carry pizzas and beverages between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies.
• Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
