About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment, stocks ingredients from the delivery area into storage and work areas, prepares products, receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory, and completes related paperwork. The role also includes cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers products by car to customers' doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The position requires navigating the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products. The role involves communicating with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, processing orders, handling payments, and using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between the eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Ability to navigate using a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate delivery sites while carrying products.
