About The Position
The Assistant Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors, delivering flyers and door hangers, and navigating to addresses within the designated delivery area, including across adverse terrain and multi-story buildings. The position requires accurate and quick arithmetic, making correct monetary change, verbal, written, and telephone communication, and the ability to enter orders using a keyboard or touch screen. The employee must make rapid, precise motor movements, understand and provide written instructions, communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by phone, and navigate delivery locations while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain and carry products at delivery sites.
