About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may deliver flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking and preparing products, processing orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Team members may make several deliveries per shift and may be required to perform other duties covered by the Customer Service Representative description or arising during the job.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses in the designated delivery area.
• Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and five or more flights of stairs, while carrying products.
• Must be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and process orders.
• Must have motor coordination to make rapid, precise movements and be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Must be able to perform the described physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, crouching, squatting, and reaching; bulk deliveries may weigh up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies in storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Navigate delivery locations, including private homes, multi-story buildings, and other sites; carry products while walking and climbing.
• Perform general duties covered by the Customer Service Representative description and other duties as needed.
