About The Position

This position is for Ethos Seafood Group, a division of Santa Monica Seafood. The Delivery Driver/ Class C Driver is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of product to customers in a professional manner. The role requires a "Class C" license, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The driver will perform routine inspections, follow delivery routes, manage manifests, load and unload merchandise, maintain records, assist with customer issues, and maneuver vehicles in various conditions. Responsibilities also include fueling the vehicle, conducting daily operational checks, ensuring proper vehicle temperature, and performing some warehouse work. A recent DMV report (3 years) is required.

Requirements

Must possess a "Class C" license.
Must have a clean driving record.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Minimum of 1-2 years Class C driving required.
Must submit a copy of recent DMV report (3 years) to be considered.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience is desired.

Responsibilities

Performs routine daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection to ensure vehicle road safety, cleanliness, and reports any mechanical defects condition to the Supervisor.
Follows pre-determined route trip, planning, and adjusts for traffic and/or construction.
Ensures that manifests are completed and accurate. The individual must check the pallet count.
Loads truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as unloaded merchandise for customer.
Provides and maintains records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Provides assistance to resolve customer issues.
Must be able to back vehicle in and out of receiving docks as well as service bays at customer locations.
Maneuvers vehicles in and around tight corners, through business areas and around high pedestrian traffic.
Responsible for fueling the vehicle and conducting daily operational checks (e.g., tire pressure, lights, fluids, refrigeration unit, and overall vehicle condition)
Ensure proper temperature of vehicle at all time.
Additional responsibilities include some warehouse work.
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
