About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment, stocks ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler, and prepares products. The role receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory, and completes related paperwork. It also involves cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The role requires navigating the designated delivery area, including locating addresses and traveling through adverse terrain such as multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products. The position also involves communicating with customers and co-workers in person and by phone, processing orders, handling monetary change, and entering orders using a keyboard or touch screen.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
