About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, including bringing orders to the customer's door and delivering flyers and door hangers. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and must navigate addresses and challenging terrain, including private homes, multi-story buildings, and stairs. The role also performs general store-team duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Possess navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Comprehend and provide correct written instructions.
• Communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, using a calculator if needed, and make correct monetary change.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Have motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately, and be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Be able to work under stress, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, meet quality-control standards, and make judgments and decisions.
• Meet the role's physical demands, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, and reaching, bending, and crouching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car within the designated delivery area and bring them to customers' doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Navigate addresses and delivery sites, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
