About The Position

Domino’s Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to deliver orders to customers within a designated delivery area. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for career advancement, including progression to management or franchise ownership. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. In addition to delivery duties, team members perform general store tasks such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, taking and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning the equipment and facility. Drivers deliver products by car to customers’ doors and may also distribute flyers and door hangers. The job involves working in a store with varying temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Delivery work can involve adverse weather, driving, carrying orders, and navigating stairs or other terrain. Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and continuous hand use.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and stairs, while carrying products.
Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
Verbal communication, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; may use a calculator.
Ability to make correct monetary change.
Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with speed.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to perform the described physical tasks, including lifting and carrying cases weighing up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Navigate to delivery addresses, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing during deliveries.
Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage and work areas.
