About The Position

The Delivery Driver provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service while delivering products to customers. The role includes collecting payments and making change when necessary, returning payments and beginning cash to the store, maintaining groceries at proper temperatures, and keeping delivery vehicles clean and maintained. The position requires adherence to food-safety standards, company policies, and personal hygiene and dress guidelines. The driver works with store personnel to support customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment, and may assist in other store areas as needed. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen.

Ability to identify problems and develop and execute solutions.
Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing.
Valid driver’s license with no DOT restrictions.
Must be at least 18 years old to drive a company vehicle.
Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including medium work and frequent standing, walking, and lifting or carrying objects up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Ability to enter and exit a delivery vehicle many times daily and traverse staircases and rough terrain.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, showing care, concern, and patience in customer interactions.
Greet customers in a friendly manner and learn and use their names when possible.
Work as part of a team with co-workers to support customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Deliver products to customers, collect payment, and make change when necessary.
Return payments and beginning cash to the store.
Maintain food and groceries at proper temperatures in accordance with food-safety standards.
Follow department and company guidelines for personal hygiene and dress, as well as company policies and store guidelines.
Report to work as scheduled and on time.
Assist in other areas of the store and perform other job-related duties or special projects as needed.
Facilitate the maintenance and upkeep of delivery vehicles.
