About The Position

NEFCO is a construction supply company that supports contractors by connecting them with the construction products they need. The CDL Driver makes local deliveries to commercial construction sites and customers’ home offices or shops, providing exceptional and timely service. The role requires a CDL and experience driving commercial vehicles at least 24 feet and 26 feet in length. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 5 a.m. start time; drivers are home every night and weekend.

Requirements

CDL required.
Must be at least 23 years of age.
Experience driving 24-foot and 26-foot commercial vehicles.
2–5 years of commercial vehicle driving experience.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Must possess a current, valid Medical Card.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
Excellent knowledge of the local delivery area.
Ability to sit in a vehicle for long periods.
Ability to work in varying climate conditions, including cold, heat, and humidity, for long periods.
Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl, and twist for lifting.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, equipment, paperwork, and loaded product.
Make deliveries to customer job sites and home offices using a company vehicle.
Load inventory onto the truck and unload it at customer locations while maintaining inventory accuracy.
Maintain a neat, safe, and organized work environment.
Ensure manifests are complete and accurate.
Provide timely, accurate, and courteous customer service.
Check in with customers via company technology at designated accounts to announce arrival and serve as a company liaison.
Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Communicate from the field with the dispatcher, customer service, and/or branch logistics.
