About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Daytime Delivery Driver to join our team in Columbus, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing daily deliveries to assigned customers, ensuring accuracy in product delivery and fund collection. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively, including assisting other drivers when needed. Drivers must be prepared to work until route completion, with potential for overtime, and deliver in various weather conditions.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age.
At least 1-year prior delivery/driving experience with a box truck or larger type vehicle.
High School Diploma/GED.
Must have and be able to maintain a valid DOT Medical Certification.
Must have and be able to maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Must be able to pass a background check (i.e., police backgrounds, reference checks...).
Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record: Cannot have more than two (2) moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph).
Cannot have more than one (1) speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years.
Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to read, write and use basic math skills to interpret and calculate changes to invoices.

Nice To Haves

Ability to work until route completion with no definite quitting time.
Availability to work overtime when needed (while complying with FMCSA hours of service regulations).
Availability to assist other drivers or perform additional deliveries when required.
Ability to use a load bar and secure a vehicle.
Ability to deliver in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by company management.

Responsibilities

Complete deliveries to pre-assigned customers daily.
Conduct pre/post trip inspections and properly log any defects.
Apply proper safety techniques while climbing in/out of box truck and loading/unloading cases of product.
Verify accurate product is delivered to the appropriate recipient.
Verify accurate funds are received at the time of delivery (drivers will not accept cash).
Provide outstanding customer service and maintain professional business relationships with customers.
Communicate with dispatch and supervisors to provide delivery status information and report any issues.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
