About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for completing deliveries to pre-assigned customers daily, ensuring accurate product delivery and fund collection. This role requires adherence to safety regulations, excellent customer service, and the ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading. The driver will operate a box truck and must be able to report to work on time at 7:00 AM, with no definite quitting time, and work overtime when needed, while complying with FMCSA hours of service regulations. Responsibilities include conducting pre/post-trip inspections, applying safety techniques, securing the vehicle, and communicating with dispatch and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Must be able to report to work on time at 07:00AM and work until route completion.
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed (while complying with FMCSA hours of service regulations).
  • Must have at least 1 year prior delivery/driving experience with box truck or larger type vehicle.
  • Must have and be able to maintain valid DOT Medical Certification.
  • Must have and be able to maintain valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks…).
  • Must have acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to read, write and use basic math skills to interpret and calculate changes to invoices.

Responsibilities

  • Complete deliveries to pre-assigned customers on a daily basis.
  • Conduct pre/post trip inspections and properly log any defects.
  • Apply proper safety techniques while climbing in/out of box truck and loading/unloading cases of product.
  • Utilize load bar and secure vehicle at all times.
  • Observe all federal and state traffic laws and drive with caution.
  • Verify accurate product is delivered to the appropriate recipient.
  • Verify accurate funds are received at the time of delivery (drivers will not accept cash).
  • Apply basic mathematical skills to calculate changes to invoices.
  • Communicate with dispatch and supervisors to provide delivery status information and report any issues.
  • Deliver in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by company management.
