About The Position

Domino’s Pizza is hiring delivery drivers for its East Memphis stores. Drivers deliver products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement into management and other positions. Orientation and training are provided on the job. Team members also perform general store duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The work involves customer and coworker communication, order entry using a computer keyboard or touch screen, and navigating delivery locations, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings. The position involves driving and working in a restaurant environment with exposure to changing weather, varied temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped areas, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, bending, crouching, reaching, climbing stairs, and handling pizza-making and delivery equipment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read maps, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, reaching, bending, and climbing stairs.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and to their doors.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Navigate to addresses using maps and other navigational skills, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain.
Operate store equipment and prepare products.
Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
