About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated area and provides customer service while on the road. Drivers also help in-store, where they receive training in deliveries, pizza preparation, and other store tasks. The role includes operating equipment, preparing products, processing telephone orders, stocking ingredients, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning the equipment and facility. Work involves interacting with customers and coworkers, working independently and as part of a team, and meeting quality standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer-service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle for deliveries.
• Proof of car insurance.
• Safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Ability to read maps, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination and ability to make precise, rapid movements with speed.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, carry items, push or pull trays, and perform standing, walking, climbing, bending, crouching, squatting, and continuous reaching and hand tasks.
• Ability to work in varying and sometimes adverse weather, temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area and serve customers.
• Operate equipment and stock ingredients in storage and work areas, including the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products and assist with in-store tasks.
• Receive and process telephone orders, both over the phone and in person.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Navigate delivery routes, addresses, adverse terrain, and multi-story buildings.
• Carry, push, pull, lift, and move supplies, ingredients, trays, pizzas, and beverages as needed.
• Work with customers and coworkers while meeting quality-control standards.
