About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also includes delivering flyers, doorhangers, or other marketing materials. In-store duties include operating equipment; stocking ingredients; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing related paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided.

The position involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, and hand use, along with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, and crouching. Delivery work includes carrying products while walking and climbing, and may require navigating five or more flights of stairs. Work may involve exposure to varying weather, temperature changes, food odors, dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Ability to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to stand for most tasks, walk, and perform frequent reaching and hand-use tasks.
• Ability to lift and handle delivery cases weighing up to 60 pounds and carry products during delivery.
• Ability to navigate stairs; delivery work may require climbing five or more flights.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to use near, mid-range, far, and night vision as needed for store tasks and driving.
• Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
