About The Position

Delivery Drivers greet walk-in customers, take delivery and carryout orders over the phone, clean, and make deliveries. Drivers are expected to be hardworking, personable, friendly, punctual, and able to multitask. The role includes running, jogging, or speed-walking to and from the car during deliveries. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided, including making deliveries with the store’s Certified Delivery Trainer.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Have valid auto insurance.
• Have a working vehicle.
• Have a good driving record.
• Be hardworking, personable, friendly, dependable, reliable, punctual, prompt, responsible, outgoing, energetic, and self-motivated.
• Be able to multitask and learn quickly.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Speak clearly and upbeat when communicating with customers by phone and at the door.
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Have motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with the eyes, hands, and fingers.
• Have navigation skills to read maps and locate addresses.
• Be able to run, jog, or speed-walk to and from the car and carry products across varied terrain.

Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in customers.
• Take delivery and carryout orders over the phone and in person using the touch-screen computer system.
• Clean.
• Make deliveries within the designated delivery area.
• Communicate clearly and pleasantly with customers and coworkers.
• Make accurate monetary change and process orders.
• Read maps and locate delivery addresses.
• Navigate varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
