About The Position

As a Delivery Driver, you will deliver orders from the warehouse to customer destinations in a Graybar truck or van. You will provide on-time deliveries and excellent customer service, maintain positive customer relations, pass along customer feedback, and promote Graybar products and services. The role involves a local route, with no overnights or weekends away. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The expected starting pay rate is $24.00 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements

Customer service skills.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of working in a warehouse environment and pass pre-employment physical testing.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
At least 1 year of experience driving a truck or trailer over 33,000 Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), or trucks equipped with a boom or forklift with self-unloading capabilities.
A valid driver's license issued by the applicant's state of residence and appropriate for the type of vehicle.
Ability to pass a DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification.

Responsibilities

Help determine the best delivery routes to meet customer expectations.
Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service.
Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Inspect the vehicle and supplies.
Operate the vehicle safely at all times.
Maintain proper truck logs.
Maintain positive customer relations and pass along customer feedback.
Promote Graybar services and products.
