About The Position
The Delivery Driver position is an entry point to learning about the delivery business, customer service, and Domino’s Pizza product preparation. Drivers are paid cash nightly, including tips and mileage reimbursement. The company promotes from within, and many managers started as drivers. The role offers an opportunity to develop skills that can support advancement to other positions within Domino’s Pizza. The position involves delivery and in-store work, including occasional outdoor tasks and handling supplies. Work conditions may include varying weather, changing indoor and outdoor temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces such as walk-in coolers, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Team members need to perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, handle stress, meet quality standards, interact with people, and make judgments and decisions.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Proof of liability insurance.
- Positive attitude.
- Customer-service-oriented approach.
- Basic math skills.
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to talk and hear on the telephone.
- Near- and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks, depth perception, and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Ability to stand for most tasks, walk short distances, and perform work involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and occasional climbing.
- Ability to lift and stack cases weighing up to 50 pounds onto shelves up to 72 inches high.
- Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet strict quality-control standards, deal with people, and make judgments and decisions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver orders and provide customer service.
- Perform in-store tasks and other assigned duties, including removing trash and other outside tasks.
- Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage shelves.
- Carry ingredients and supplies, including cans, pizza sauce, and trays of pizza dough.
- Move trays on dollies and occasionally navigate stairs or climb a ladder for tasks such as changing prices on signs, washing walls, or performing maintenance.
