About The Position
The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The role also includes the general duties and working conditions listed for hourly store team members, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position requires frequent standing and reaching, repeated bending, and use of hands throughout the day. It may also involve carrying and stocking supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, using a hand truck, and occasionally climbing stairs or a ladder. Work takes place in a store environment with exposure to varying temperatures, hot surfaces and tools, food odors, cornmeal dust, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and sometimes adverse outdoor weather conditions. The position pays a fixed hourly rate based on assigned work location: $17.13 per hour at Pierce County locations or $20.82 per hour at King County locations, plus mileage and tips. Cash tips are paid daily. Paid sick leave is provided under Washington State law. Qualifying full-time employees are offered employer-sponsored medical benefits. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Ability to stand for most tasks and perform continuous reaching and hand-use activities.
- Ability to unload and stock deliveries, including lifting cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
