About The Position
This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking phone orders, and maintaining cleanliness of the facility and equipment. Training is provided on the job. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and coworkers, both verbally and in writing. The job requires accurate and quick mathematical skills, including making monetary change. Motor coordination for precise movements and the ability to use computer systems for order entry are also necessary. The work environment includes a range of temperatures, potential exposure to fumes and dust, cramped spaces, and hot surfaces. Sensory requirements include clear communication over the phone, good vision for various tasks, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish hot and cold. Requirements
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Ability to add/subtract/multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling trays on dollies, climbing, stopping/bending at the waist for 30-45 seconds repeatedly, crouching/squatting, reaching up/down/forward, performing hand tasks using hand-eye coordination, and utilize various tools, equipment, and work aids.
Responsibilities
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Clean equipment and facility daily.
