About The Position

Parts Authority LLC. is seeking Delivery Drivers for their Wakefield, MA location. This is a newly created career opportunity where a company vehicle is provided. The Delivery Driver is a key contact with customers, responsible for building strong client relationships. Parts Authority is a rapidly growing Supply Chain company with over 50 years of experience, offering career advancement and job stability. Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Long Island, NY, Parts Authority is a leading national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools/equipment, and transmissions, with over 300 locations across the US. Requirements

  • Current, valid driver's license
  • Must be 21 years old or over to meet company insurance requirements
  • Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to handle prolonged sitting
  • Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances
  • Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture
  • Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to take and follow directions
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team
  • Must meet all minimum "Requirements and Qualifications" and "Knowledge, Skills and Abilities" to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed
  • Previous delivery driving experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and drop off automotive parts, adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
  • Ensure orders are properly fulfilled and customers are satisfied.
  • Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness and accuracy of charges.
  • Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes, and use navigation apps/alternative routes as needed.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle customer complaints and concerns.
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), and reconcile collected moneys.
  • Complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and notify the manager of any issues.
  • Assist with other store/warehouse duties as assigned, such as stocking and parts pulling.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
