About The Position

Domino’s Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to staff local stores. The role offers a flexible schedule and may suit someone seeking a primary or supplemental job. Opportunities for advancement include management and other career paths within the company, including franchise ownership.

Drivers deliver products by car to customers’ doors and distribute flyers and door hangers. The job also includes general store team-member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The work involves driving and walking between the store, vehicle, and customer locations; carrying products; and navigating delivery sites, including stairs and adverse terrain. Store and delivery work may involve varying weather, temperature changes, hot surfaces and tools, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, and moving mechanical parts. Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and continuous hand use.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Ability to read maps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers by phone and in person to process orders.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements and ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including carrying products during deliveries and navigating stairs; deliveries may require climbing five or more flights of stairs.
• Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, with cases stacked on shelves up to 72 inches high.
• Far and night vision for driving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Navigate to addresses using maps and other navigational skills, including multi-story buildings and other delivery sites.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Carry pizzas and beverages during deliveries and travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
