About The Position
The Delivery Driver delivers Domino’s products by car to customers within a designated delivery area. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes navigating to customer addresses and carrying pizzas and beverages from the vehicle to customer locations, including locations with stairs or other challenging terrain. This is a flexible-schedule role with on-the-job orientation and training. Drivers are part of the store team and may perform general store duties, such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and five or more flights of stairs when required.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, including making correct monetary change.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
- Ability to meet the physical demands described, including carrying products during deliveries and other store tasks.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and to their doors.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Navigate to addresses using maps and other navigation skills, including at private homes, multi-story buildings, and other delivery sites.
- Carry pizzas and beverages between the store, vehicle, and customer locations; navigate stairs when necessary.
- Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
- Communicate with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Make correct monetary change and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
