About The Position

Individual FoodService is seeking a non-CDL Delivery Driver to join its growing team. This union position has a starting pay rate of $24.83 per hour in accordance with the CBA. The driver operates an assigned delivery vehicle, transports and unloads goods at designated destinations, and maintains safe, timely deliveries. The role requires a valid California Driver's License, the ability to maintain a DOT Medical Card, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Requirements

• Valid California Driver's License.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience with local and inside deliveries.
• At least 2 years of delivery driver experience.
• Driving record must meet company safety standards.
• Ability to pass pre-placement drug testing.
• Ability to maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Proficiency using GPS and other routing systems.
• High level of composure and good stress management.

Nice To Haves

• Experience driving a 24- to 26-foot straight truck (bobtail).
• Manual transmission experience.
• Ability to use a lift gate, electric lift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and safely drive the assigned delivery vehicle.
• Pick up loads and organize goods in an orderly manner.
• Secure shipment contents inside the truck to prevent breakage or damage.
• Handle and unload goods safely and efficiently at selected destinations.
• Follow the predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries.
• Communicate with dispatch as needed.
• Confirm each shipment load matches the manifest document.
• Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip.
• Notify managers about major maintenance or delivery issues.
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations.
