About The Position
The Delivery Driver performs general restaurant duties involving equipment operation, ingredient stocking and rotation, product preparation, order processing, inventory counting, paperwork, and cleaning. The role receives and processes telephone and internet orders and delivers products using the employee’s own vehicle. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. The role requires communicating with customers and coworkers by phone and in person, safely driving and navigating roads and delivery locations, and handling monetary change accurately.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to safely drive an own vehicle.
- Ability to navigate roads, maps, adverse terrain, and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing ladders and stairs, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
