About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizza and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, bringing orders to the customer's door. Drivers may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store team member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including management and franchise ownership.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
Motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately, and ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to perform physical tasks that may include standing, walking, lifting and carrying deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
Ability to carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing during deliveries; navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

Navigate delivery locations, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain, while carrying products.
