About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated delivery area and provides customer service on the road and in the store. Drivers receive training and may help with in-store tasks, including making pizza and processing orders. The position offers opportunities to develop within Domino’s, from delivery driving to management and franchise ownership.

The work includes operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and work in varying weather and store conditions, including exposure to hot surfaces, coolers, food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle for deliveries.
• Proof of car insurance.
• Safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to understand and provide correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to lift and unload deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds and stack cases onto shelves up to 72 inches high.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, carrying, pushing or pulling trays, occasional stair or ladder use, bending, crouching, reaching, and continuous hand use.
• Talking and hearing on the telephone, near- and mid-range vision, depth perception, and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area.
• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Assist with in-store work, including making pizza.
