About The Position
Delivery Drivers deliver products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also includes delivering flyers and door hangers, navigating to customer locations, and carrying orders to customers. Drivers work as part of the store team and may perform general store duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Flexible scheduling is offered, with opportunities for advancement into management and other roles.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Have a minimum of one year of driving history.
- Have access to an insured, reliable vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses in the designated delivery area, including navigating adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
- Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
- Be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
- Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, and reaching.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers and carry orders to their doors.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Navigate to addresses within the designated delivery area, including private homes and multi-story buildings.
- Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory; complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
- Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing during deliveries.
- Follow food quality and customer service standards and work with store team members.
