About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also includes delivering flyers and door hangers. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards and access to an insured vehicle for delivery.

As a store team member, the driver may also operate equipment; stock ingredients and supplies; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The work involves driving and walking to delivery locations, carrying products, and navigating stairs and other terrain. Store duties can involve standing, lifting, bending, reaching, and working around hot surfaces, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, food odors, dust, and varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, while carrying products.
• Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Have the ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Have motor coordination and eye-hand coordination for rapid, precise movements and continuous hand use.
• Be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Be able to perform the stated physical duties, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving.
